Unfray is the app you open mid-spiral. It settles you for sixty seconds, walks you through the choice one small step at a time, and locks it in — so the 2am reopening stops.
You're on the list. We'll write exactly once — when it's your turn. No drip campaign, promise.
Coming to iOS and Android. No ads, ever — and your decisions are encrypted so even we can't read them.
Deciding while flooded produces the decisions you regret. One minute first.
Anxious deciders don't lack information — the researching is the avoiding. Decision tools ignore the anxiety. Calm apps ignore the decision. Unfray takes them on as one problem, because they are.
No dashboards to browse, no library to wander. You arrive with a stuck decision and leave with a made one.
One sentence, typed or spoken. That's the whole entry fee.
Two questions triage the stakes. Cheap decisions get a fast track — your gut has those.
Paced breathing before the thinking, because flooded brains make the choices you regret. Skippable, always.
The right structure appears for your kind of choice — two options, a pile of them, a yes-or-no, or a fog we untangle together.
Your choice, committed — with gentle friction against 2am reopening. Then we check in later to ask how it landed.
After you rate what matters, Unfray shows which way your own numbers lean — then asks the only question that cuts through: relieved, or disappointed? That reaction is data your spreadsheet never had. Disappointed by the "winner"? That's your answer, and the app lets you flip it.
The method is grounded in cognitive-behavioral techniques for tolerating uncertainty — skills your therapist would recognize. Unfray never says "you should." It shows you your own thinking, organized, and you choose.
Don't think. Just notice — what did your body do when you read that?
Something eased — relieved Something sank — disappointedTwo days after you decide, Unfray asks how it landed. Then again at two weeks. Each answer becomes a dot on your wall — dozens of small proofs that the catastrophe never came. Your own history, arguing back at the worry.
Sage = turned out fine · Amber = rocky but survivable. No red dots exist. Bad outcome ≠ bad decision — you chose with what you knew.
Not a policy promise — a structural one. The parts of Unfray that could betray you don't exist.
Everything you type lives on your phone. If you back up, it's encrypted before it leaves — we store ciphertext we cannot open.
The whole decision loop runs with no connection. There is no server watching you decide.
We make money one way: a subscription you can cancel in ten seconds. Analytics see event names like "decision locked" — never a word you wrote.
The panic button and crisis resources are free, forever, for everyone. That's not a plan feature. It's a floor.
No. Unfray is a general wellness tool — it helps you manage decision stress and build a steadier relationship with uncertainty, using techniques grounded in CBT. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and it's not a substitute for professional care. If you're in crisis, the app steps aside and points to real help (in the US: call or text 988).
Never. Unfray organizes your thinking — your options, your criteria, your reaction to your own numbers. It says "the numbers lean," not "we recommend." You stay the decider. That's the entire point.
One small, optional corner: if your decision is a fog, you can pour out a messy brain-dump and an AI helper sorts it into 2–4 real options. Only that one text goes out (disclosed right on the screen), it isn't stored or used for training, and nothing else ever leaves your phone. No chatbot anywhere.
Settings → Export gives you everything as JSON. Settings → Delete removes it from your phone and erases the encrypted backup from our servers. Self-serve, no email-us wall.
The iOS and Android beta opens soon. Waitlist members get invited in order, and we'll email you exactly once — when it's your turn.
